ABOUT THE AREA : SANTA GERTRUDIS
Ibiza Map - San Gertrudis2.png

Santa Gertrudis is located exactly in the center of Ibiza Island. The village has developed over the last years into a comfortable and popular place to live, with lots of quality restaurants and bars around a lovely main street and the Church Plaza. Many services are offered: groceries shops, banks, pharmacy, post office, and some decoration & fashion boutiques.

Ibiza´s Centre-North region is the place for a more real living experience, people being in general in a more relaxed and different state of mind than those in the South and West. This is particularly visible in laid-back villages like
San Juan and San Carlos. The North offers great nature like Benirras Beach with great sunsets or the steep cliffs of Puerta del Cielo in Santa Ines.

Good chill-out restaurants we recommend in Santa Gertrudis are Zeno´s Pizzeria (in our blog of 10 best pizzas in Ibiza) or Finca La Plaza, and a bit further away Ses Escoles, NagaiBalafia and La Paloma on the road to San Lorenzo, Elements on Benirras beach, Rebrots in Portinaxt or Shamarkanda in San Juan.

Coming from Ibiza city, after passing Jesus the South East coast holds beautiful secluded smaller beaches like Aguas Blancas, Cala Boix, Cala Llenya, Cala Nova, Cala San Vicente and Amante Beach.

There are relaxed relaxed restaurants in the sand worth visiting like BabylonChiringuito Atzaro or On the Beach & Boat House in Cala San Vicent.
